Congratulations to Kevin Fiala as the MVP of this year’s World Championship, despite Team Switzerland coming up short against Czechia in their bid to win gold (Team Sweden took home the bronze medal with a 4-2 win against Team Canada). Fiala was awarded the tournament’s Best Forward, although Team USA’s Matt Boldy was the highest scorer with 14 points (Fiala & Brady Tkachuk finished tied for 2nd in goals with 7 apiece, trailing Team Canada’s Dylan Cozens at 9). Switzerland’s Roman Josi was the tournament’s Best Defender, and finished fifth in scoring with 12 points.
Fiala managed to accomplish this feat after witnessing the birth of his daughter earlier this month.
