Despite normally focusing on hockey, I found the subject of the Minnesota Twins’ franchise and its surrounding facts very interesting and relevant to the sports world in general. The purchase of this team would seem to be an excellent opportunity for someone desiring to own a sports franchise and/or work in the sports business. Minneapolis is a great sports town, the Twins always have a good on-field product despite the small market, and they have a loyal fan base (provided the new ownership group endears itself to the community).
