Antitrust Lawsuit Dismissed Against the CHL & Its Member Leagues

Attached is an article discussing a lawsuit filed against the CHL and NHL accusing them of colluding against major junior players to keep player compensation at a bare minimum. The suit was filed in the state of New York. As no major junior teams are based there, the court determined it had no jurisdiction over the CHL and therefore dismissed the case against it. The NHL remains a defendant in this suit. Also, the plaintiffs in the suit (both former WHL players) may appeal this decision to the circuit court of appeals by filing a notice of appeal within 30 days of the decision.
