5/29/25: Key NHL Prospects in AHL Playoffs for Abbotsford (VAN), Charlotte (FLA), Laval (MTL) & Texas (DAL)

While the present is going well for NHL playoff participants Florida and Dallas, their respective futures are also bright. Leading the charge to a potential Calder Cup championship for Charlotte are a pair of D-men, Mike Benning (FLA 2020 4th round, 95th overall) and Tobias Bjornfot (LAK 2019 1st round, 22nd overall). The pair each has 5 points (3G for Benning, 2G for Bjornfot), and a combined +/- ratio of +12. For Texas, AHL rookie of the year Justin Hyrckowian leads all AHL playoff scorers with 15 points (7G 8A).

For Laval, a pair of first-round picks – AHL all-star Logan Mailloux (MTL 2021 1st round, 31st overall) and Austrian native David Reinbacher – are two D-men making nice offensive contributions as well. Mailloux and Reinbacher have a combined 10 points on 3 goals and 7 assists for the Rocket.

Goaltender Arturs Silovs (VAN 2019 6th round, 159th overall) has been absolutely rock-solid for Abbotsford between the pipes, sporting a record of 8-4 (on 4 shutouts) with a .936 SVP.
