Almost immediately after finishing my post yesterday regarding goaltender Jack Ivankovic, I reviewed an article on NHL.com written by Taylor Baird on the subject of the young netminder. Baird’s article, which is the first attachment, refers to his height as being 5’11”, which is his official height as listed by central scouting. In my post, I used Elite Prospects’ info on the young man, which has him listed at an even six feet tall. Regardless, he is considered somewhat undersized for his position, and Baird does an excellent job in shedding light on the head-on manner in which Ivankovic has met this challenge. Baird’s article also refers to the fact that his father, Frank, was a goaltender drafted by Pittsburgh in 1995. In looking up further info on his father, I noted in particular that the elder Ivankovic stands 6’4.” Perhaps the younger Ivankovic has not fully developed physically, and will be a prototypical goaltender size-wise when all is said and done.
The second attachment also is an NHL.com article written by Adam Kimelman. The article’s primary focus is on the health of Brandon Wheat Kings center Roger McQueen (8th ranked among NA skaters by central scouting), who appears to completely healed from a back injury costing him most of the 2024-25 season. Other topics of interest are Saginaw Spirit forward Michael Misa (2nd ranked among NA skaters) and his potential desire to join his brother Luke (CAL 2024 5th round, 150th overall) at Penn State University, as well as the potential for Brampton forward Porter Martone (6th ranked NA skater) to follow close friend and teammate Ivankovic to the University of Michigan.
