The New York Rangers are set to trade veteran forward Chris Kreider to the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for prospect Carey Terrance (ANA 2023 2nd round, 59th overall) and a 2nd round draft pick. The 20 year old Terrance is a forward for Erie in the OHL, and collected 39 points (20G 19A) in 45 games before sustaining a season-ending injury in February. Terrance also competed for Team USA at the 2025 WJC, where he tallied an additional 2 goals in a fourth-line role for the Americans.
Also, Utah has signed right-shot D-man Tomas Lavoie (Utah 2024 3rd round, 89th overall) to an entry-level contract running through 2027-28, at an annual cap hit of $872,500. Lavoie’s signing represents the third “big man” signing in the last several weeks for the Mammoth, as the 6’4″, 216 pound Lavoie takes his place along recent signees Dmitri Simashev (6’5″ Russian D-man) and Daniil But (6’6″ Russian winger).
