6/23/25: More Draft Picks Change Hands in Philadelphia/Anaheim Trade

Anaheim has traded 24 year old center Trevor Zegras to Philadelphia in exchange for 26 year old center Ryan Poehling, a 2025 second round pick (45th overall), and a 2026 fourth round pick. Zegras had 32 points (12G 20A) in 57 games last season. The 2022 rookie of the year finalist missed 7 weeks in 2024-25 after having surgery on his right knee to repair a torn meniscus. Poehling had 31 points (12G 19A) in 68 games for the Flyers last season Like Zegras, Poehling was a first round pick, going 25th overall to Montreal in 2017.

Even with this trade, Philadelphia still has the ability to acquire much high-end talent in Los Angeles. The Flyers still have six picks in the first two rounds of the 2025 draft.
