Attached is my updated team additions / subtractions list, which includes Anaheim’s recent move to place D-man prospect Rodwin Dionicio on waivers for purposes of contractual termination. That was a bit surprising to me, as Dionicio is only 21 years old and was listed just a season ago as one of the Ducks’ top prospects.
Also added to this list are numerous 2025 draft picks who have signed their entry-level contracts. Included among them are goaltender Aleksei Medvadev (VAN) and forwards Danhiil Prokhorov (NYI), Milton Gastrin (WAS), and Brady Martin (NSH). Medvedev’s contract carries a cap hit of $923,333 per, Prokhorov is at $915k per, and the Gastrin/Martin contracts are at $975k per.
The Prokhorov signing was unexpected, as many thought he would return to the KHL or the MHL in Russia. At any rate, he appears to be staying in North America, and is expected to play for Sarnia in the OHL.
As I stated in my prior post, this list does not contain players re-signing with their current teams, nor does it include draft picks who have not as of yet signed their entry-level deals.
