Attached are the rosters for Team LaFleur and Team Crosby for the inaugural QMJHL Prospects Game. The game features the league’s top 2026 NHL draft prospects, and will take place tomorrow night at the Palais des sports Léopold-Drolet in Sherbrooke, Quebec.
Among the first twelve players chosen last month to participate in this game are D-man Xavier Villeneuve of Blainville Boisbriand, forward Lars Steiner of Rouyn-Noranda, and goaltender William Lacelle of Rimouski. Villeneuve, who is a projected first round pick, has 20 points (3G 17A) through 12 games this season. Also, he is one of only three players already chosen to represent the CHL at next month’s CHL USA Prospects Challenge in Calgary and Lethbridge, AB.
Steiner also is a projected first round pick in 2026. The Switzerland native tallied 60 points (23G 37A) in 57 games last season with the Huskies. Thus far in 2025-26, the right winger has 8 points (3G 5A) in 7 games.
Lacelle is coming off a season in which he led the Oceanic to the Memorial Cup finals, compiling a sterling record of 27-5-3 and a .909 save percentage. Arguably the top goalie prospect in this draft, Lacelle has a record of 5-2-1 this season on a much weaker Rimouski roster, but he has improved his save percentage to .920.
