Prior to continuing his hockey career with the USHL’s Fargo Force, Chicago prospect Mason West (2025 1st round 29th overall) will attempt to lead Edina High School to a Minnesota state football championship next week in Minneapolis. Edina used 4 touchdown passes and another rushing TD from West in erasing a three-score deficit en route to a 42-41 victory over Minnetonka High School in semifinal action. The see-saw battle was not decided until the final two minutes of the game, when Edina stopped a two-point conversion attempt and recovered the ensuing onside kick to seal the victory.
