The 2022 Olympics will be here before we know it. This is a bit early, but for me the team to watch is Slovakia. They’re not realistic medal contenders, but the Olympics will allow us to watch two young Slovakian players on the international stage. Forward Juras Slafkovsky and D-man Simon Nemec are both potential top-5 picks in the 2022 draft, and I’m interested to see how well they compete against current and former NHLers. What Slovakia lacks in depth they’ve always made up for in high-end talent, so good luck to them!
