Adam Fantilli (Forward, Canada) – Thus far, Toronto native Fantilli (#2 ranked North American skater by Central Scouting) has played in six games for Team Canada. He has 2 points (2 assists), and a rating of +2 in those games. His tournament game action was abbreviated, however, by the match penalty he sustained against Norway for an illegal head check. (Earlier in the tournament, Canada’s Joe Veleno was suspended for five games for a kicking incident versus Switzerland.)
Leo Carlsson (Forward, Sweden) – Carlsson (#1 International skater) has played in seven games for Team Sweden. He has amassed 5 points (3 goals, 2 assists), and has a rating of +5. It is worth noting that two of his three goals came in an overtime loss to Team USA in a battle to win Group A in the preliminaries.
David Reinbacher (Defenseman, Austria) – Reinbacher (#5 International skater) has played in four games for Austria. The defenseman has 1 point, and a rating of +1. Pretty good plus / minus ratio, considering the Austrians were outscored 27-11 in the prelims.
Oscar Fisker Molgaard (Forward, Denmark) – Molgaard (#18 International skater) has played six games for Denmark. He has 0 points and rating of -2. Although held off the score sheet, his hockey IQ and compete level show why he has risen from the #50 international skater in mid-term rankings to where he is now.
