Simon “Haoxi” Wang is Another Addition to the Major Junior Ranks After the NCAA Rule Change

Please see the attached article regarding 2025 draft-eligible player Simon “Haoxi” Wang. Wang, who was born in Beijing and is now a dual citizen of China and Canada, recently signed with Oshawa in the OHL. The 6’6″ d-man is a B-rated prospect, and if he’s drafted in the second or third round will be the highest drafted Chinese-born player ever. Simon is committed to play for Boston University next season, and was a recent participant in the Battle of Ontario between the CCHL and OJHL.
