The Lightning have signed 2nd round forward Ethan Czata (Vancouver 2025 2nd round, 56th overall) to a 3 year, entry-level contract with a cap hit of $931,667 per season. Czata will compete for Niagara in the OHL this season. The two-way center, known for his defense-first style of play, tallied 55 points (21G 34A) in 68 games last season for the Ice Dogs.
Also, the Canucks remain in talks with the top remaining free agent, center Jack Roslovic. The 28 year old had 39 points (22G 17A) in 81 games for Carolina last season, and reportedly is seeking a multi-year deal in the $3 million range.
