Anton Frondell, Chicago’s third overall pick this past summer, currently is playing for Djurgardens in the Swedish Hockey League. Frondell has 8 points (6G 2A) in 9 games so far this season in Sweden’s top pro league. His 6 goals include a “Michigan” lacrosse-style goal against BK Rogle this past week, as well as a hat trick today.
Frondell is projected to begin his NHL career next season. He is known for his versatility, being able to play both the center and wing positions very effectively. This trait endeared him to the scouting ranks, and presumably will provide the Hawks with a very good problem to have next fall.
