10/9/25: Top Winnipeg Prospect Chibrikov Gets Extension From Jets

Winnipeg forward prospect Nikita Chibrikov (WPG 2021 draft, 2nd round 50th overall) received a two-year, one-way contract extension from the Jets this week. Chibrikov is in the final year of his entry-level deal, so his extension does not begin until 2026-27. It will carry a cap hit of $875K per season.

Currently, Chibrikov is listed by the NHL Central Scouting Bureau as Winnipeg’s 5th-ranked prospect. Winnipeg begins its 2025-26 season tonight at home versus Dallas.
