Projected top 10 2026 draft pick Tynan Lawrence will compete for the NCAA’s Boston University Terriers for the remainder of the 2025-26 season. He is making the jump to college hockey mid-season from the USHL’s Muskegon Lumberjacks. As captain of the Lumberjacks this season, the left-shot forward tallied 17 points (10G 7A) in 13 games. He is expected to compete for the Terriers this weekend, when BU faces the University of Massachusetts for a home-and-home series commencing this Friday.
At BU, Lawrence will join fellow Lumberjack alum and left-shot forward Sacha Boisvert (CHI 2024 1st rd 18th overall), as well as 2026 WJC gold medalist d-man Sascha Boumedienne (WPG 2025 1st rd 28th overall).
With their birthdays both being August 3, 2008, Lawrence and the University of Miami’s Ilia Morozov are college hockey’s youngest players. Morozov is a forward and projected 1st or 2nd round pick in 2026.
