1/6/26: Recent Contract Extensions Concerning PHI (Dvorak), NSH (Annunen) & STL (Toropchenko)

In recent NHL contract extension news, Philadelphia extended Christian Dvorak on a 5-year, $25.75 million deal ($5.15 AAV) commencing next season. The left-shot forward has 25 points (9G 16A) in 39 games this season.

Also, Nashville has inked goaltender Justus Annunen to a two-year, $5 million extension ($2.5 million AAV), also beginning in 2026-27. Annunen is 3-5-1 in 12 games this season, primarily in a backup role to Jusse Saros.

Finally, St. Louis signed forward Alexey Toropchenko to a two-year, $5 million deal running through 2027-28. The huge winger (6’6″ 225 LBS) is an excellent penalty killer providing a nice physical presence to the Blues in a bottom-six role. He has 5 points (2G 3A) in 27 games this season.
