Team Switzerland’s Kevin Fiala (LAK) sustained season-ending LBI against Team Canada in quarterfinal.
Team Finland’s Mikko Rantanen (DAL) sustained LBI against Team Slovakia in the bronze medal game, will miss an undisclosed period of time; per Stars coach Glen Gulutzan, Rantanen not expected tonight’s game versus Seattle, possibly the game after as well.
Team Canada’s Josh Morrissey (WPG) sustained a UBI against Czechia in its first preliminary game, and will miss the start of the Jets’ three-game road trip, beginning tonight in Vancouver.
Team USA’s Connor Hellebuyck (WPG) will be unavailable tonight in Vancouver due to needing rest.
Team Canada’s Connor McDavid (EDM) will be available tonight in Anaheim. Earlier reports of his unavailability were inaccurate.
Team Finland’s Kevin Lankinen (VAN) will be unavailable tonight in Vancouver due to being caught in a New York snowstorm, expected to play against Seattle on Saturday.
Team Canada’s Tom Wilson (WSH) will be a game-time decision in tonight’s game versus PHI due to illness.
Team Canada Head Coach Jon Cooper (TBL) will miss the next two games (TOR & CAR) due to the passing of his father.
