Looking ahead to this December, the CHL USA Prospects Challenge locations have been announced. The two-game event, featuring first-time 2027 draft-eligible prospects born in late 2008 & 2009, will take place in Chicoutimi, QC (12/1) and Quebec City, QC (12/2). This event should be highly entertaining, and will be filled with high-end prospects from both sides of the border. Most if not all of these players competed in this season’s World U17 Hockey Challenge in Truro, Nova Scotia.
The Prospects Challenge will be led by possible number one overall pick Alexis Joseph. The 6’5″ forward has 54 points (22G 32A) in 47 games so far this season for Saint John in the QMJHL. Also, he led the above-mentioned U17 Challenge in scoring with 13 points (6G 7A) for gold medalist Team Canada Red.
