3/31/26: CGY Prospect Castagna Signs ELC With Flames

As anticipated, Jonathan Castagna (2023 3rd round, 70th overall) has foregone his final year of college eligibility with Cornell University, and signed a three-year entry-level contract with Calgary. Castagna’s deal, having an annual cap hit of $1,075,000, commences in 2026-27. Castagna will play for the Calgary Wranglers on a professional tryout agreement for the remainder of 2025-26, upon his recovery from a lower-body injury sustained during the NCAA Tournament.
