Also a second-round pick (41st overall in 2023) of Detroit, Augustine posted a record of 24-9-1 with a goals against average of 2.11 and .929 save percentage, and becomes the first Spartan to win the award. Following the conclusion of MSU’s season, he signed a three-year entry-level contract with Detroit commencing in 2026-27. Augustine currently is playing for Grand Rapids of the AHL on an amateur tryout agreement.
