Alexis Bernier (SEA) signed a three-year, entry-level contract yesterday, commencing in 2026-27. The contract carries with it an annual cap hit of $1,003,333, and has a signing bonus totaling $310,000 ($100K paid in 2026-27, $102,500 in 2027-28, and $107,500 in 2028-29).
Bernier is fully recovered from a torn ACL suffered earlier this season, limiting him to 21 regular season games. He played in all 20 QMJHL playoff games for league champion Chicoutimi, and registered 7 points (4G 3A), while logging over 20 minutes of ice time per night in a shut-down role for the Sagueneens. Chicoutimi will face WHL champion Everett this Saturday, followed by a matchup with host Kelowna the following night.
