7/1/26: Demidov Signs Massive Extension with Montreal

Montreal has signed forward Ivan Demidov to an 8-year, $73 million ($9.125 million AAV) extension today, which will begin in 2027-28. Demidov led all rookies in scoring with 19 goals and 62 points, and finished second to New York Isles’ d-man Matthew Schaefer in Calder Cup voting.
