7/16/26: Winnipeg Signs Perfetti to 5-Year Deal, Avoids Arbitration Hearing

Winnipeg has signed restricted free agent forward Cole Perfetti to a 5-year, $30 million ($6 million AAV) contract, commencing in 2026-27. The deal avoids the arbitration hearing between the parties, which was set for this Monday.

Perfetti’s production slipped from 50 points (18G 32A) in 2024-25 to 32 points (12G 20A) last season. This reduction was due in large part to a high-ankle sprain suffered against Calgary in Winnipeg’s final pre-season game, causing Perfetti to miss the first 14 games of the season. Upon his return to the lineup, he averaged roughly half a point per game, similar to his production in the prior year.
