7/23/26: Mammoth Sign D-man Prospect Psenicka to Entry-level Deal

Utah announced today that they have signed d-man Max Psenicka (46th overall in 2025) to a three-year, entry-level contract commencing in 2026-27. The 19-year-old Czech is projected to return to his junior team, the WHL’s Portland Winterhawks, for the beginning of this upcoming season.

A season ago, Psenicka posted career highs in goals (8), assists (22) and points (30) for the Winterhawks. Also, he helped guide Team Czechia to a silver medal at the 2026 World Junior Championship. Finally, he ended last season on a 2-game stint with Tuscon in the AHL, recording an assist and a player rating of +1 en route to earning his contract with the club.
