Yesterday, the Nashville Predators traded forward Luke Evangelista (42nd overall) to New Jersey in exchange for a 2028 or 2029 first-round pick (based upon an unsatisfied condition), as well as a 2028 second-round pick. Evangelista is in the final year of his contract, carrying an annual cap hit of $3 million.
Evangelista is coming off the most productive season of his NHL career, where he registered 56 points (12G 44A) in 81 games in his third full season with the Predators. He has 142 points in 253 career games, all with the Preds.
