What an outstanding tournament this has been so far, with host Sweden undefeated (6-0-0-0) and having the most points overall. However, Canada also is undefeated, trailing Sweden in Group A but having a game in hand on them. Team Czechia, occupying 1st place in Group B, boasts two of the tournament’s top three scorers (Pastrnak & Cervenka). The 3rd leading scorer is Canada’s Nathan McKinnon with 10 points, although 4 players are nipping at his heels with 9 points apiece. One of the players with 9 points (on 4 goals and 5 assists) is Chicago forward Frank Nazar. This is a very exciting piece of new news for Hawks’ fans, as Nazar continues to produce at every level at which he plays.
Speaking of Nazar and the Americans, along with Switzerland Team USA remains in the hunt. The Swiss and the Americans occupy the 2nd and 3rd slots in Group B, respectively, behind Czechia.
