UConn’s 4-3 OT victory over Boston College in the Hockey East semifinals last night restarted speculation of if and when Eagles’ forward James Hagens would sign his entry-level deal with the Bruins. The latest and greatest is that his signing is imminent, and that he’ll be slotted into the Boston lineup immediately to assist in the Bruins’ playoff push. Although he is a natural center, word is he’ll suit up as a winger for the big club, at least for the time being.
Djurgardens IF’s loss in the SHL playoffs likewise has sparked talk that Anton Frondell will join Chicago for the remainder of 2025-26. Frondell signed his ELC with the Hawks shortly after being drafted this past summer, so the business part of this transaction already has concluded.
