4/16/26: Pohlkamp Signs Entry-level Contract with San Jose

What a terrific ride it has been this season for former University of Denver d-man Eric Pohlkamp (2023 5th round, 132nd overall). First, he was named the National Collegiate Hockey Conference’s Offensive D-man of the Year (39 points [18G 21A] in 43 games). This led to Pohlkamp being named a top-three finalist for the Hobey Baker Award as college hockey’s top player. Following these individual achievements, Pohlkamp helped lead the Pioneers to the 11th national championship in school history this past weekend. Today he signed a two-year entry-level contract with San Jose beginning in 2026-27. The contract carries with it an annual cap hit of $1,050,000.

It is unknown at this point if Pohlkamp will sign an amateur tryout agreement to play in the AHL in 2025-26.
