Theo Stockselius (2025 draft, 2nd round 54th overall) is the latest Calgary prospect to sign an entry-level contract with the Flames. The 18-year-old’s deal extends for three seasons, and carries with it a per annum cap hit of $1,015,833. He is expected to attend the Flames’ training camp this season, then return to SHL Djurgardens for the remainder of 2026-27.
Stockselius is considered to be a top-15 prospect for the Flames, recently being awarded the pool’s number 12 slot per the “Flames Nation” publication. His contract represents the fifth entry-level deal to which the Flames have signed their prospects since the March 6 trade deadline. This group consists of 3 forwards (Stockselius, John Castagna, and Tyson Gross) and 2 d-men (Alex Hurtig and Abram Wiebe), all of whom are age 23 or younger. Although the organization considers Hurtig to be a project, the remaining four players on this list are among Calgary’s top prospects in a pool at or near the top of the league.
