Tampa Bay traded their 2027 third-round pick to Chicago for the rights to 20-year-old forward Jack Pridham, who scored 46 goals and 90 points in 2025-26 with the Memorial Cup champion Kitchener Rangers. Chicago faced a deadline to sign him or lose his rights, so Tampa stepped in and traded for Pridham. Pridham will play college hockey next season, and while no official announcement has been made regarding his NCAA commitment, he will likely end up at the University of Denver. At Denver, he’ll re-join Kitchener teammate and fellow Lightning forward prospect Sam O’Reilly. Tampa acquired the rights to O’Reilly last year in a trade with Edmonton for former first-rounder Isaac Howard.
