D-Man Landon Dupont, fresh off a WHL Championship and Memorial Cup runner-up finish with the Everett Silvertips, is heading to the NCAA next season. Reportedly, he recently narrowed the list of candidates to the University of Denver, the University of Michigan and Michigan State University. However, Denver just yesterday received a commitment from d-man Daxon Rudolph (5th-ranked North American skater in 2026 draft) of the WHL’s Prince Albert Raiders to replace the services of do-it-all d-man Eric Pohlkamp (SJS). In theory, that makes one of the Michigan schools Dupont’s probable landing spot.
Dupont is scheduled to visit both Ann Arbor and East Lansing this coming weekend. If things continue to progress as quickly as they have to this point, the Dupont decision should come shortly after.
