Newly-traded New York Rangers forward Pavel Dorofeyev yesterday signed a 7-year, $77 million ($11 million annual cap hit) with his current team. The 25-year-old winger registered 64 points (37G 27A) for Vegas this past regular season, and tacked on an additional 16 points (12G 4A) in the Golden Knights’ run to the Stanley Cup finals.
Also occurring yesterday, Los Angeles d-man Brandt Clarke signed a 5-year, $37 million extension ($7.4 million annual cap hit). The 23-year-old had career highs in goals (8), assists (32), and points for the Kings in 2025-26, his second full NHL campaign.
Today, power forward Zack Ostapchuk signed a 4-year, $9.4 million extension with San Jose. Using a very high hockey IQ enabling him to anticipate offensive threats before they happen, Ostapchuk has embraced his 200-foot shutdown role with the Sharks, and is developing into an elite face-off man.
