7/1/26: Byram (CHI) & Hischier (NJD) Both Sign Long-term Deals North of $10 Million

Forward Ivan Demidov’s $9.15 million AAV extension, signed earlier today, flirted with the 8-figure mark, which has twice been exceeded since then. Chicago d-man Bowen Byram has signed a 6-year, $75 million ($12.5 million AAV) contract, set to begin in 2026-27. Also, New Jersey pivot Nico Hischier signed a 5-year, $58.5 million contract with the Devils.
