Swedish forward Leo Carlsson will be staying in Anaheim for at least through 2030-31. Carlsson will sign a five-year, $90 million contract with the Ducks today after the team matched Philadelphia’s offer to the budding superstar. Carlsson’s contract, having an AAV, makes him the highest-paid player in the NHL.
Carlsson set NHL career highs in goals (29), assists (38) and points (67) in 70 regular-season games for Anaheim last season. He also had 11 points (four goals, seven assists) in 12 Stanley Cup Playoff games for the Ducks.
