The San Jose Sharks kicked off their 2026 development camp on June 30, featuring No. 2 overall pick Ivar Stenberg. The 18-year-old Swedish winger instantly charmed everyone both with his considerable skills and constant smile during scrimmages alongside fellow young players Macklin Celebrini and Will Smith. Also, veteran Tyler Toffoli provided valuable mentoring services as the group went through the paces of a very rigorous training regimen, helping to build early team chemistry. The excitement grew with the arrival of newly-acquired d-man Darnell Nurse, as fans hailed his veteran grit, befitting of his new ‘Nurse Shark’ nickname. He joins free agent acquisition Jacob Trouba to add more of a physical presence to the blue line.
