This coming Monday will be the first time since being traded by the New York Rangers to Los Angeles that Artemi Panarin will return to New York to face his former team. There will be plenty of drama surrounding the event, as Panarin called MSG home for 6+ years, and left as the Rangers ninth-leading scorer all-time. In 482 games with the Rangers, Panarin amassed 607 points (205G 402A). He also was the team’s leading scorer this season before the trade, with 57 points (19G 38A) in 52 games. Thus far with the Kings, Panarin has 8 points (2G 6A) in 8 games.
After his current contract expires at the end of 2025-26, Panarin’s 2-year, $22 million deal with Los Angeles kicks in. He was dealt to the Kings on Feb.4 in exchange for forward prospect Liam Greentree and a conditional 3rd round pick in 2026.
