With the additions of first overall pick Gavin McKenna, former Tampa Bay d-man Darren Raddysh, and free agent goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky, as well as a host of other acquisitions, General Manager John Chayka has the task of continuing to shore up Toronto’s coaching staff. Chayka’s most recent move in addressing that issue was the hiring of Hall-of-Famer Daniel Alfredsson as the Leafs’ Associate Coach. Also, John Gruden and Brad Werenka were hired as Assistant Coaches.
These hirings come after Chayka hired Jim Hiller as Toronto’s bench boss on June 17 to replace Craig Berube.
