Three-time Stanley Cup winner Chris Chelios said he spoke directly with long-time friend and former Chicago teammate Patrick Kane regarding Kane’s playing future. Per Chelios, Kane confirmed he will suit up next season either for the Blackhawks or Kane’s hometown team, the Buffalo Sabres. Kane, fresh off 57 points with Detroit last season, shone as a Chicago icon with three Stanley Cups, a Hart Trophy, and playoff MVP honors over 16-plus years. Fans hope he’ll mentor young star Connor Bedard in Chicago’s rebuild, or help Buffalo once again reach the playoffs
