Hall of Famer Mats Sundin may be re-joining Toronto’s front office soon in an advisory capacity. Although this may be in his future, the franchise’s all-time leading scorer has not been linked to any discussions concerning the general manager or the president of hockey operations vacancies.
Sundin does not have management experience at the NHL level, and is limited in that capacity to being a two-time time consultant for Team Sweden (the 2013 World Championship, and the 2016 World Cup of Hockey). As such, his possible job description with the team is somewhat loosely defined at this point, described simply as being something along the lines of an advisory role.
