Detroit forward prospect Brent Solomon and his Sioux Falls Stampede teammates are the USHL’s Clark Cup Champions. They disposed of the Muskegon Lumberkacks 3 games to 1 in a best-of-five final series, including a 4-3 double OT thriller in the series-clincher. Solomon’s teammate, goaltender Linards Felbergs (free agent), was named MVP of the playoffs.
Solomon’s final playoff game was an evenful one, and certainly contributed to the Sioux Falls victory. He was turned away on a short-handed breakaway in the 2nd period, then shortly thereafter buried a backdoor power-play chance to provide the Stampede with its first lead of the game. Solomon logged over 25 minutes of ice-time in the game.
From here, it is on to the University of Wisconsin in the fall for Solomon, where he looks to help the Badgers to a return visit to the Frozen Four in 2027.
