In a salary dump move, yesterday Colorado traded Stanley Cup champion Valeri Nichushkin to Columbus. In doing so, the Avs disposed of Nichushkin’s annual cap hit of $6.125 million.
In return, the Avs received from the Blue Jackets a trio of draft picks: a 2026 second-rounder (43rd overall), a 2027 third-rounder and a 2028 fifth-rounder.
