6/30/26: Numerous Additional Players Enter Summer as Unrestricted Free Agents

Eighty-nine players who were formerly Restricted Free Agents did not receive a Qualifying Offer (QO) from their current clubs, and the deadline to do so was yesterday (the Monday following the draft). Per the NHL’s Collective Bargaining Agreement, a QO is determined by referencing a sliding scale, beginning at 110% of a player’s 2025-26 salary. As these players did not receive a QO, they automatically become Unrestricted Free Agents (UFA’s) as of July 1, being free to sign with any team of their choosing. Attached for your reference is a list of these players published by puckpedia.com. As you can see from this list, most of these players are either depth pieces or prospects.

The last attachment is a link to my list of each NHL club’s players/prospects who have signed contracts during the playoffs through the present day. I will add these new UFA’s to this list as they sign with their respective teams during free agency.
